Rev. Kevin Powell president of the Alberta Pastoral Care Association since April 2017, is also senior pastor of First Lutheran Church in Calgary, AB, and has served congregations in Golden Spike, AB, Tokyo, Japan, Lethbridge, AB, Halifax, NS, and Williamsburg, ON.
Formerly, in addition to serving as APCA’s vice-president, Kevin has also served on boards such as the Lethbridge Fair Trade Society (aka “Ten Thousand Villages”), Lutheran Campus Ministry – Edmonton, and Lutheran Campus Ministry Calgary, Ecumenical Campus Ministry – Lethbridge, and as president of the constituency association of Lethbridge-East and presently with Calgary-Currie for a provincial political party.
Kevin is studying for his Doctor of Ministry degree at St. Stephen’s College at the University of Alberta in the area of Spirituality and Leadership with a special emphasis on the spirituality of money as it pertains to resource development.
