Welcome to APCA!
“The Alberta Pastoral Care Association promotes quality pastoral care though an amalgam of professional chaplains and/or spiritual care practitioners, clergy, trained volunteer chaplains, and trained lay pastoral care/religious community visitors, who connect and network to provide support and encouragement for each other and who work together to provide education and training opportunities at a non-professional level for pastoral caregivers.” – APCA Mission Statement

The Dark Night of the Soul: A Sacred Anatomy of Dying
We begin our 50th anniversary year with an opportunity to engage the transformative spiritual landscape of the Dark Night of the Soul.
Our keynote speaker, Zinia Pritchard, D. Min, will introduce how the Dark Night manifests in life, and invite self-reflection in the tracing of the Dark Night in our personal and ministerial lives, (“The Dark Night of the Soul in Everyday Life”) ; a workshop opportunity will allow opportunity to engage a Dark Night self-reflection tool, and to bring the fruits of our refection to inform how the Night may present at end of life, (“The Dark Night at End of Life);”
A final keynote address will offer Dark Night perspectives on the provision of spiritual care, (“Faith, Hope, and Love: Dark Night Spiritual Care Competencies).”
Cost is $70.00 (individual and organizational members) and $100 (non-members, which includes an APCA membership).
We look forward to having you join us for a dynamic, informative day of presentations and discussion.
